The National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM) was set up by the Government of India under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), in the year 1983, to foster the development of higher mathematics in the country, to formulate policies for the development of mathematics, help in the establishment and development of mathematical centres and give financial assistance to research projects and to doctoral and postdoctoral scholars

NBHM Scholarship Exam Pattern

The selection of the candidate will be done on the basis of a written examination followed by a person interview. The details of the examination are follows :

Type of Examination :The examination will have questions requiring slot answers primarily areas of analysis and algebra but also in other areas of mathematics covered in undergraduate mathematics programs.

Duration of the examination :The candidate will have two & half hour attempt examination.

Selection Procedure : Selection will be on the basis of the written test followed by interview. Candidate will be short-listed for the interview based on the performance in written test.
