GAT-B Entrance Exam Details

The Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B), being conducted by the Regional Centre for Biotechnology on behalf of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, is the admission eligibility test for DBT-supported PG programmes in the participating institutions.

The GAT-B examination centres will be spread across the country. The list of examination centres can be seen at . The examination will be a Computer Based Test (CBT). The duration of the examination will be 180 minutes. The details of examination, marking scheme and syllabus is available at

Note that the GAT-B rank is valid for the academic year 2020-21 only. Call for admissions will be advertised separately by the participating institutions for DBT-supported programmes. RCB/DBT will not be responsible for the admission & selection process by the individual participating institutions.
